Save money on wedding party gifts

Spend within your budget: Set a budget and stick to it. Often people can go down a rabbit hole when browsing for gifts, looking at items that are way over budget. It's important to set yourself a strict budget and spend an amount that you're comfortable with.

Make a gift: A personal hand-made gift can often provide greater sentimental value than an expensive item. Creating something unique and personalised such as framing a photo of the two of you, creating a scrapbook of your friendship, or making thank you cards is a fantastic way to save money and display your affection.

Be personal: For those of you that don't have the time to make a gift from scratch, you can still think of thoughtful and personalised presents that don't cost the world. For example, you could order a customised champagne or pint glass with the date of the wedding, or decant a bottle of whisky into smaller labelled bottles to toast with your groomsmen on the morning of the wedding. There are lots of clever ways to provide unique gifts on a budget.

Re-gifting: We've all received gifts that we put aside and never use, so why not re-gift or personalise these as a gift? If thought and consideration is put into the re-gifting, then it's a perfectly acceptable way of saving your hard-earned cash.

Second-hand gifts: Exploring antique stores and second-hand retailing sites are fantastic ways to find pre-loved items that suit all tastes, at a bargain price. Whether you're looking to purchase some jewellery for the Bridesmaids or cufflinks for the groomsman, there will be something for everyone.

Shop during sales: Make sure you plan ahead. Shopping during sales periods, such as Black Friday or Boxing Day can be a fantastic way to save money on the gifts you've had your eye on.

Ask around for help: Ask if any family or friends can help. For example, if you have a friend who is a florist or great with a paintbrush, they may be able to put together a perfect wedding party gift at a discounted rate. Whilst this might not be applicable to everyone, it's always worth asking around as it could save you some time and money.

Browse around: Before purchasing any gift, it's important to browse around for the best prices. VoucherCodes.co.uk has offers and deals from over 5000 of Britain's biggest retailers and restaurants. For example, you can currently find offers for notonthehighstreet, eFlorist, and Yankee Candle. No matter what you're looking for, you'll always find great deals to help save you money.
