Amy and Lewis first met at a christening in 2011 and immediately hit it off.
The pair were both in attendance as godparents and, despite knowing both parents for several years, they'd never crossed paths before – the rest is history!
Lewis popped the question on December 12th 2017, which led the couple to exchange vows precisely four years later surrounded by loved ones. Here Amy shares details about their special day...
Our ceremony took place in our local church and our vicar was so lovely.
Set in 20 acres of beautiful countryside, Dodford Manor is a converted barn with modern touches. We instantly fell in love with the property and knew it would be perfect for our reception.
Watching our little boy walk down the aisle was the best thing ever and made us both very proud.
I wanted the wedding breakfast space to look very romantic, which is why we got married in December as I wanted it to be dark outside during a candle-lit dinner.
We had a nod to Christmas with green drapes and little gold stags placed on the tables. Princess Occasions styled the venue and created the most magical vibe – I cried when I saw it.
We wanted a wow-factor design for the cake and the lovely Laura at The Greenhouse Cakerie brought our vision to life.
Our florist was amazing at guiding us through the flowers – she did a beautiful job.
I picked a Made With Love dress called Sienna, which featured a delicate beaded top with a silk and tulle skirt.
I wanted some sparkle and a dress to dance the night away in, so I changed into an Abella Bride gown in the evening.
The bridesmaids looked beautiful in forest g reen silk dresses.
The groom wore a black tux with a waistcoat and black velvet bow tie.
A gospel choir performed throughout the ceremony; they were amazing and created the most magical atmosphere. The guests all commented on how beautiful they sounded!
Mango Acoustic Duo played during the drinks reception; they added a nice and chilled atmosphere to the day.
Jamie Mathias is a songwriter who takes relationship stories and puts them into a song. At the end of the speeches, he performed a personal piece from me to the groom, who had no idea and was totally surprised.
We had round shortbread biscuits for favours, which doubled up as place names.
The best man's speech was excellent!
We both felt on cloud nine; it was the best day of our lives!
The team at Dodford Manor handled things so smoothly and made us feel relaxed on the day..
