Nettlestead Place is a wedding venue situated in Nettlestead, Kent. This stunning 10-acre property offers a unique English country setting with award-winning gardens and a striking medieval manor which is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. The manor is steeped in history and is still a family home, but it can be exclusively used for weddings. The 14th century gatehouse stands to the west of the manor at the start of the private drive and is an impressive entrance for guests as they arrive. This beautiful private manor with award winning gardens is a stunning venue for wedding celebrations.
Within Nettlestead Place is the unique and majestic 13th Century Undercroft, with its three stone pillars and cloister vaulted ceiling. Licensed to accommodate up to 120 guests, for indoor wedding ceremonies.
Located within the stunning Rose Garden beneath a 300 year old lime tree is our beautiful timber Gazebo, licenced to hold outdoor ceremonies and accommodate up to 120 guests. The aromas and beauty of the Rose Garden make this a truly romantic setting.
St Mary the Virgin Church adjacent to Nettlestead Place is available for Church Ceremonies and just a 5 minute walk from the manor house.
On the morning of a wedding day a beautiful bridal suite is available within the manor house for the bridal parties use.
After the wedding ceremony, guests can enjoy champagne and canapes on the broad terraces overlooking the manor's sunken pond and rolling valleys of Kent's countryside. The celebrations continue as guests can wander through the idyllic gardens, famous throughout Europe, across manicured lawns, paths, and water features, surveying the beautiful countryside on their way to the wedding marquee.
The large stylish wedding marquee offers amazing views over the valley and gardens and can accommodate up to 150 day guests and 200 evening guests for wedding receptions. The marquee includes black and white chequered dance floor with star light ceiling, a fully licensed Bar, festoon lighting throughout and solid wooden flooring.
