New piano product from one of our Signature Wedding Show exhibitors

Renowned pianist Dennis Elvie has a portable baby grand piano - having such a portable instrument means that he can play at the ceremony, drinks reception and at the wedding breakfast, especially as these aspects of the day are frequently in different rooms/buildings, on different floors and are inside and outside. "My portable instrument can cope with all these situations," shares Dennis. Excitingly, not only does this means couple, no matter the wedding or location can have this amazing classical instrument at their nuptials; but Dennis looking to invest in a new white baby grand piano - which too is portable - meaning couples can not only have the wedding music of their dreams, but also have a piano fitting to their colour scheme.

Award-winning hairstylist exhibiting at Ascot Racecourse

Our County Wedding Events Signature Wedding Show at Ascot Racecourse on 26th February 2023, gives visitors the much-needed opportunity for finding their big-day suppliers. Exhibiting at this event, is Alison Rose a hairstylist with a career spanning nearly 20 years. Training at Mulberry's in Beaconsfield as a stylist, she first trained for hair extensions 15 years ago before moving to Kuwait in 2010 to work as a senior stylist for Toni&Guy. Here, Alison trained to become a hair extension educator for the brand Raccoon Hair Extensions.

3C Jewellery is the brainchild of Lucy White, and is a business that specialises in handcrafted items using paper flowers, seed bead weaving, macramé/braiding, chainmail and wire work. Lucy whill be exhibiting at the Signature Wedding Show at Ascot Racecourse on 26th February. Lucy adds, 'I have always loved crafting! I learnt all about beading, beadwork and making jewellery and items from beads whilst working in a craft shop. This fuelled my love of crafts and I decided to make and sell jewellery items as a hobby. It was during the first lockdown I found I had some extra time on my hands and I came across paper flowers.They looked amazing so I decided to have a go making them and quickly fell in love. My friends and family were amazed at how real they looked and started to ask me to make paper flowers for them...

The most eye-catching wedding decor revealed

A new study, conducted by the wedding financial experts at money.co.uk, involved surveying 1,000 future newlyweds and asking them to estimate how much they will spend on 70 wedding items. Images of these 70 items were then used in an eye-tracking study to reveal the specific elements that people spend the most time gazing at. Fairylights came out on top, with guests staring at them for 5.53 seconds which is impressive considering they are the decorations that those planning a wedding expect to pay the least for (£106.25). So, if you're looking to impress your guests without splurging then try draping your venue in tiny, twinkling fairylights.

Average ages we are hitting life’s milestones

A new study from Confused.com has revealed the average ages we are hitting life's milestones in England & Wales, including getting married at age 35! So how does your milestone timeline compare? Typically, the first milestone people in the UK reach is moving out of their parent's home at age 20, followed by moving in with their partner at 27. The next life milestone those in the UK usually meet is having their first child, with couples seeming to have children before marriage. The average age for having children is 29, while the average age for getting married is 35. The data also suggests that on average, people are choosing to have children before purchasing a property. This could be a result of house prices continuing to rise making it harder to save for a deposit.

Couples are opting for eco-friendly weddings

One of the UK's leading waste and recycling management companies BusinessWaste.co.uk collected data, which shows how much attitudes to environmental and sustainable choices in regard to weddings are changing. According to the research searches for 'sustainable wedding' has skyrocketed by 75% over the last year, while 'sustainable wedding venues near me' saw an 80%+ increase along with 'sustainable engagement ring' which saw a staggering 96% search increase. What's more, us Brits came out on top overall for our eco-friendly mindfulness, with France and Greece also seeing the biggest increase in searches for sustainable wedding venues.

Spotify data reveals the most popular wedding songs

Luxury engagement ring retailer, Diamonds Factory, has scraped Spotify to find the top 100 most popular wedding songs to include in your playlists. To do this, Diamonds Factory analysed over 100 Spotify playlists containing the word 'wedding' and found the most featured songs across all playlists. These playlists included 3500 unique songs, and the data scrape also used additional keywords to reveal the top wedding ceremony songs, wedding party songs and top wedding artists, too.

The most popular wedding foliage 2022 revealed

Wow, 2022 was quite the year for weddings with a bumper amount taking place. Looking back at what was trending last year, perhaps inspiration for those tying the knot in 2023, wedding insurance specialists Protectivity have researched the most popular wedding flowers, based on UK Google Search Volume. The most popular wedding bouquet foliage was Eucalyptus, with 585,000 searches! Followed by, Ivy 495,000, Jasmine 458,200, Rosemary 374,600, Ferns 351,200, Monstera 319,500, Silver Birch 219,600, Philodendrons 219,400, Olive branches 143,000 and Myrtle 133,300.
