Our photographer made our day so much more fun, moreso than we expected. From Champagne sprays at sunset to having a sneak preview of some of the edited photos on his laptop so the evening guests could see what had happened during the day. Daniel captured images of people showing their true emotions, which was so lovely to see. He also gifted us his audio guest book to use for the night, we’re really looking forward to hearing the messages from our guests. My top wedding planning tip is to make sure you put everything in boxes and have lists written up. This made it easier for the wedding venue to set up on the day. We also had a Guess Who game in the form of guests’ much-loved pets. This was great fun for the adults and children during the break before the evening reception started. We thought this was such a brilliant idea, so different to the traditional three-course meal. It went down a treat and everyone said how much they preferred it. It included a variety of sandwiches, fresh scones with jam and cream, and a selection of cakes. I saw a few posts on TikTok about how to keep guests entertained and mixing with each other. One of the ideas was to create a guest bingo, involving one guest from each table at the wedding breakfast. This got everyone up and talking to each other. The questions included anything from: ‘Who gets married in August 2025?’ to, ‘Who is the youngest in the room?’ REAL WEDDINGS 35
