By the age of 17 they decided to take the plunge and began dating. They’ve been side by side ever since. “Liam is the life of the party, always laughing and joking, which is why everyone loves him,” says Abbie. “I’m the more organised one but this is why we’re the perfect match. We’re best friends as well as husband and wife.” Liam got down on one knee on Christmas Day 2022 with their son, Oliver, by his side. Abbie thought he was joking, since after nine years together, she assumed he wasn’t interested in marriage. “Our family and friends were just as surprised as me, although he did ask my dad’s permission, which I adore,” Abbie remembers. As soon as they found Hellaby Hall Hotel online, the couple knew they had to visit. “The old building was a picture-perfect spot and offered so much potential for our wedding photos,” Abbie explains. So, they booked a viewing with Jess, the wedding coordinator, pronto. From the moment they pulled up in the car park, they were sold, this was the one. “The reception staff were so friendly and the whole feel gave us goosebumps. I visited multiple times with my bridesmaids and mum for wedding showcases and each time I got more and more excited. The wedding packages available were also the best value for money,” Abbie shares.
