We hired a neon sign that read ‘Let the adventure begin,’ and borrowed the vineyard’s arch, which we decorated with flowers. Our wedding breakfast was a meat feast – delicious. I had the idea of a cake decorated in gold leaf with fresh flowers, so I shared this with our cake maker during the consultation and she ran with it. The tables were all named after places we’d visited together as a family. I added photos of the two of us for an added personal feel. I made the place names myself using corks that I cut up – I had a few friends help me drink the wine! During the day sax player Ben Jackson created an Ibiza chill vibe to our drinks reception, which was just what we had in mind. We set up some cricket stuff for the kids to play with during the reception along with a kids corner with drawing materials and popcorn. REAL WEDDINGS 35
