We wanted large vases full of flowers on our banqueting table for an intimate fairytale look. Our flower arrangements and my bouquet featured fresh phalaenopsis orchids. Our place cards were personalised gold mirror heart shapes, which doubled up as favours since guests took them home as mementos. I’ve always loved castles and fairy tales, so Allerton Castle just seemed to fit the vision for our reception venue. The grounds were simply stunning and would be no matter the weather on the day. The centrepieces included large silver trumpet vases, silver crackle hurricane candle holders, large low mirror-effect bowls on round mirror bases with 1,000 faux crystals scattered around them.
