CELEBRATE IN STYLE The Grand Boardroom lives up to its name; the grandeur of the room is decorated with chandeliers and a magnificent original fireplace. A vast, majestic room with floor to ceiling wood panelling, huge windows, and an original parquet floor, the room boasts grand views of York Minster and the city walls. The room welcomes 100 guests for both the ceremony and reception. Secondly, The Chairman’s Suite, the original office of the Chair of the North Eastern Railway, hosts 30 loved ones. Designed to impress, the room maintains its magnificent history and elegance and has views of the city walls. WE LOVE... As the former headquarters of the North Eastern Railway company, the building is nothing short of grand. With attentive service and a commitment to provide guests with memories to treasure, you will be greeted by doormen either side of the entrance upon your arrival. The original building was an 18th century coaching inn, positioned on the Great North Road, from London to Edinburgh. The Bridge has lots of beautiful outside areas, which can be used exclusively for weddings. There’s a stunning Italian courtyard filled with greenery and large glass windows. The outdoor gazebo is situated in a large field with a water fountain, surrounded by countryside. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Indoor ceremonies take place in the Byron Room. It’s illuminated by a beautiful English cut crystal chandelier and boasts an Italian marble fireplace as a backdrop. This room can comfortably seat 80 guests. Outdoor ceremonies take place in the gazebo. Your reception can be held in a choice of three rooms. The Walshford Suite which has high ceilings, French windows, and an adjoining bar can seat up to 70 guests for a wedding breakfast. The Ribston Suite is located on the ground floor with superb levels of natural light having the benefit of full-length French windows along one side of the room leading out onto the new south-facing terrace. It contains a private bar and has direct access to the north entrance of the building. This room can seat up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast. There’s then the Byron Room that can sit 50 guests. WE LOVE... The Byron Room really is enchanting and boasts one of the finest examples of 18th century Rococo plasterwork in the north of England.
