Built between 1357 and 1361 in York, this venue is Britain’s oldest surviving half-timbered guildhall, crafted from oak sourced from the Vale of York. The timber frames against the distinctive yellow of the walls makes this a special landmark in the city. Couples will love the secluded walled garden for a drinks reception in the warmer months. TIME TO CELEBRATE! Large ceremonies and wedding breakfasts are held in the magnificent Great Hall (180 guests) under high ceilings and exposed beams. Smaller parties will love the elegant Governor’s Parlour (20 guests) and the intimate Committee Room (24 guests). Drinks and evening receptions take place in the ambient Undercroft (180 guests). With a total of 16 function suites, Castle Park has something to suit every occasion. The 1,500-seat stand and full-size professional pitch are both spectacular features whether you’re a rugby fan or not. The £2.2million De Mulder Lloyd stand was built in 2009 and is home to two modern, glass-fronted suites, while the original Clubhouse has a more traditional vibe.
