Your Yorkshire Wedding - January/February 2021 (Issue 46)

Describe your boutique and service in five words… Unique, luxurious, welcoming, relaxed and expert. What designers do you stock? Aire Barcelona, Aire Royale, Aire Beach, Rachel Allan, Lo’Adoro, Mary’s Bridal, Wendy Makin, MGNY and Giorgia Couture. We also stock menswear, mother-of-the-bride outfits and bridesmaids. How did you come to launch your business? The inspiration came when I married my husband in Tuscany in 2015. I planned the whole wedding from start to finish and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I wanted to help other brides have that incredible experience; this gave me the focus and determination to do it in style! Cristello (meaning crystal in Italian) Couture is all about the experience, and brides-to-be can enjoy our personal service while sampling fizz and canapés courtesy of our gin and wine bar – where we also offer our luxury gin-tasting bridal appointment! How have you adapted during the pandemic? All our brides who have visited during the pandemic have commented on how safe they’ve felt. We’ve extended our appointment times to allow for thorough cleaning between each bride, we’ve invested in a special fabric disinfectant and have utilised Zoom to allow guests to join from home. What are your top tips for brides looking for their dream dress? ❤ Keep an open mind – 99% of brides leave the boutique with a totally different style than they envisioned. ❤ Trust your consultant. They keep ahead of trends and understand the styles that suit particular venues, themes and body shapes. ❤ Enjoy it! Relax and have fun finding your dream dress. What designers do you stock? Ronald Joyce, Pure Bridal, Jennifer Wren, Hilary Morgan. How did you come to launch your business? I was ready for a change of career, and had been looking for a business in the wedding industry. Having been a ceremonies officer for the registry office for several years, I was noticing how many brides’ dresses weren’t fitting them very well, and couldn’t understand how a bridal boutique would let that happen. One thing lead to another, and with the love and support of my husband and children I launched Ever After Bridal Wear. How have you adapted during the pandemic? Several of my brides have gone ahead with intimate ceremonies and had wonderful days where the getting married part was more important than the reception. We’ve also taken the opportunity to connect with other wedding industry friends; I recently took part in a gothic photo shoot, where we lit a candle in the darkness to prove that the wedding industry is still very much alive. What are your top tips for brides looking for their dream dress? ❤ Bring just one or two guests with you or you can get really conflicting ideas. ❤ Try styles that the consultant suggests for you – you may be very surprised!
