However, I absolutely fell in love with it! I teamed it with mint-green platform shoes and my late-grandma’s sixty-year-old veil – it was almost identical to the lace on my dress. “Not being able to see anyone for the five months before the big day meant that we full appreciated having our closest family and friends there to celebrate with us.” The run-up to the wedding was very stressful. We had already made the difficult decision to reduce our guestlist to 30 people, but even five days before we weren’t sure if we’d get to have a reception. On the morning, we were so relieved that it was finally happening. It made us appreciate what’s important about the day, which allowed us to stay relaxed and not stress over minor details.
