Jamie says that Emma had such a lovely smile he just had to go and talk to her. “He made me laugh all day and we got on so well,” Emma tells us. “Before I knew it, I had moved to Chester to be with him!” Fast forward three years, and the pair are hiking up a hill in Wales, with their dog, Reggie, in tow. “It was where we had gone for our first date,” Emma says. “Jamie pulled out a ring and got down on one knee at the top – it was a total surprise. I wondered why he’d been so protective of his rucksack all the way up!” The couple got into planning mode and set the date for 14 th December, 2019, with a ceremony at All Saints Church in Northallerton, where Emma was christened, and a reception at Yorkshire Wedding Barns.
