We wanted to include a few personal touches to represent us. There was a framed memorial quote for those who couldn’t be with us and a bespoke welcome sign made from a wooden pallet. Instead of a guestbook, we had a frame with string attached for guests to peg their messages to. Whitley Hall Hotel took away some of the stresses of planning by providing the catering and a resident DJ who got everyone dancing in the evening. The men looked handsome in navy suits, with Steven standing out in a checked waistcoat. For my bridesmaids, we chose full- length burgundy styles, but each of them chose their own neckline. 24
