Your Yorkshire Wedding - Jan/Feb 2020 (Issue 40)

When we first got engaged, I saw a dress online that I loved. One day, I was in town with my mum when I saw it in a shop window. I tried it on and felt like a princess – I knew I had to have it. I loved the fitted bodice, layered skirt and low back. We had artificial blooms for the bouquets in mocha, pink and cream with decorative crystals for a little sparkle. I added a charm to each of the bridesmaids’ bouquets with their name on it for a personal sentiment. Our stunning three-tier cake was in the shape of the Eiffel Tower to complement the day and was decorated in our colour scheme.  We chose the same wedding transport as Alex’s parents did when they got married 15 years before – vintage Humber Pullmans. I loved the car ride from the church as it was a chance for us to have some time alone as newlyweds. REAL WEDDINGS 37
