La vie en rose Holly and Alex opted for a chic Parisian theme for their big day at Lazaat Hotel Images courtesy of Abraham Photography A fter meeting at work, Holly and Alex became friends before feelings started to grow into something more. “We were there for each other through a lot,” Holly says. “He’s incredibly loyal and caring – that’s what attracted me to him.” Alex soon started planning to pop the question, and what better place than in the city of love? “We went for a weekend in Paris,” Holly says. “The night started with a meal and a boat trip to see the Eiffel Tower. We then went for a walk and Alex swiftly drank two glasses of wine, which I now know was down to the nerves!” When the couple meandered back to the street of their hotel, Alex got down on one knee – and Holly couldn’t have been happier! Back in the UK, the pair got to work planning their dream day for 17 th August, 2019, with a church ceremony at Saint Mary the Virgin in Cottingham followed by a reception at Lazaat Hotel.
