REAL WEDDINGS 31 LOOKING THE PART The bride wore a fabulous Maggie Sottero gown. “I loved the intricate beading on the top,” she says. “It also had a wonderful keyhole back and clusters of detail on the skirt.” Chelsea wanted the dress to do the talking, so she kept the accessories pared-back with simple diamond earrings, a pretty veil and a hairpiece. The men looked handsome in navy three-piece suits. They took the decision to buy rather than hire the outfits so they could have them tailored. The men’s pale pink accessories were chosen to match the bridesmaids’ multi- way maxi dresses. “Each of my girls has a completely different shape and style,” Chelsea says. “I liked that they could tie their gown however they felt comfortable.” They also chose how they wanted to wear their hair and it was all topped off with fresh gypsophila, which the hair stylist provided. TIME TO CELEBRATE A pianist performed an array of modern classics during the reception drinks. “Our guests all had a sing-song to The Killers, Coldplay etc.,” Chelsea says. “Our videographer is a very talented singer. She performed Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran for our first dance.” Once the DJ had finished in the evening, loved ones continued the celebrations in the venue’s underground cellar bar. “We danced and played beer pong until 2am!” the bride tells us. MEMORABLE MOMENTS On the day, the newlyweds were overwhelmed with happiness. “It was the best day of our lives,” Chelsea says. “Neither of us can pick a highlight. It was amazing from start to finish and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.” The maid-of-honour’s ceremony reading had everyone in tears, while the best man got the crowd laughing. “He pulled out a life-size cardboard cut-out of Tom looking a little worse for wear on his stag do!” Chelsea says. The pair chose some brilliant local suppliers. “My hair and make-up team really calmed my nerves in the morning and made it so fun,” the bride explains. “Our photographer and videographer made us feel so at ease and captured everything brilliantly. Last but not least, the wedding coordinators at the venue were always on-hand and ensured everything went smoothly.”  Chelsea’s top tip: “Make sure you make time as newlyweds to take it all in – it goes so fast!”
