Steeped in history, the building is recorded in the Domesday Book and Richard III once owned the estate. The house fell into disrepair before Graham and Sarah bought it in 2001 but with a passion for British heritage, they relished the opportunity to rescue an at-risk building and create a sustainable future for it. “Rise Hall has been a big part of our lives for 18 years,” Sarah tells us. “We’re extremely proud of the work that we, and an incredible team, have achieved but it’s time to move on.” Dan and Helen will continue to operate the 29-bedroom building as a prestigious venue. “Rise Hall is a stunning building with a rich history,” says Dan. “We have two decades of experience in luxury weddings and events so our clients are in good hands.” Check out risehall.com joelskinglephotography.co.uk YOUR ESSENTIALS 9
