Pamella Dunn created a glamorous feel with luxurious chiffon chair covers, sequin table linen and shimmering gold votives. There was also an exquisite mirrored seating plan, welcome sign and order of service. I had great fun bridal shopping with my girlfriends. The style I chose was a complete surprise. It was the wild-card option picked out by the staff at The Bridal Collection in Harrogate. Finding the right hair accessory proved more difficult. However, after visiting Adele at Eleda Hats for a hat for my mum, she agreed to make a bespoke piece to complement my outfit. We dreamed of a glorious long summer weekend in relaxed surroundings with fine wine, champagne and good food. We weren’t disappointed! The bank holiday weekend enjoyed a record heatwave. We had to make a change from our original caterers, but we were so happy with Vincere Hospitality. The celebrations began with a barbecue on the terrace the night before the big day, and they also catered for our delicious fine-dining wedding breakfast. In the evening, there was a showstopping Airstream cocktail bar. Neither of us have a sweet tooth so we chose not to have a traditional cake, instead opting for a champagne cascade. It was a great photo opportunity and took place just before the speeches so everyone had a drink for the toasts. It was so much fun; we lost count of how many bottles of bubbles we poured!
