Your Yorkshire Wedding - July/August 2019 (Issue 37)

We commissioned the services of wedding planner and designer Pamella Dunn. She helped narrow down the search to three venues and it was the final one we visited that stole our hearts. Rise Hall is exclusive-use, has on-site accommodation and is available to book for a three-day weekend. It fit the bill perfectly. Candle-lit cylinders and candelabra filled the tables, alongside incredible flower displays created by the talented team at Red Floral Architecture. The top table, staircase and fireplaces overflowed with masses of fresh seasonal blooms, with their heady perfume filling the air. When we saw the finished look, we were lost for words. An English country garden theme was chosen to reflect our love of nature; the look and feel of the day was always going to be about flowers. This was woven through the stationery, the pots of hydrangeas outside and the fabulous high-impact styling of the ballroom. Steven travelled to London to buy his navy Prada dinner suit. He completed the look with a tailor-made Vivienne Westwood shirt. He couldn’t have been happier in his two favourite designers, and he looked a million dollars. 40
