Carole and Steven’s big day was so timelessly beautiful – we can’t get enough of it. We had to get all the details from Carole. “The proposal was a complete surprise,” she says. “We were on holiday in South Africa and chose a scorching hot day to hike to the top of Table Mountain. We were taking in the spectacular views when Steven was looking for a quiet spot to take some photos – or so I thought!” As the pair found themselves alone, Steven pulled a ring box from his backpack, got down on one knee and popped the question. “It was an incredibly emotional moment and one that I’ll treasure forever,” Carole says. Back in the UK, they set the date for 27 th August, 2018, and immediately began searching for their perfect venue. Carole tells us how everything fell into place… 39  REAL WEDDINGS
