Your West Midlands Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 89)

LOOKING YOUR BEST 65 ON YOU All eyes Tips to ensure you look your best on the big day STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD Every year, the wedding dress industry blows my mind a little bit more with its creativity and flair for the dramatic, and 2024 is set to be no different. Blush dresses have been around for a while, but this season we will be seeing even more of them, as well as other pastel colours. There will also be more florals available. We have a beautiful gown coming in that is actually a floral twopiece; it’s absolutely stunning and perfect for a bride who’s looking for something whimsical or a bit different. Two pieces are definitely going to be big! Bows are also going to be on-trend, both small and big. Small versions will be adorning head dresses and veils, and bigger bows will act as key features in dress backs, but we’re also expecting to see some worked into capes too. Watch this space! Black dresses are back with a bang. Last year, we saw more brides daring to be bold with a black ballgown. This season, the silhouette will change to be more fitted; think sleek, elegant, dramatic, timeless gowns. Combine that with a detachable overskirt, and brides will be wowing all over the world. Next year is going to be an exciting one, perhaps the most exciting one yet, and we actively encourage our brides to be different and customise their gowns to make them as unique as you.
