Welcome to the first issue of 2023! For those of you who received a ring underneath the Christmas tree or on Valentine’s Day – congratulations! We can’t wait to help you plan your special day. If you’re unsure where to start planning, I found the best thing to do when I got engaged was to make a list of everything that you’d like to include in your day. From the big things like the venue and photographer down to the smaller details such as the cake topper and jewellery, write it all down. Now don’t panic if the list is a couple of pages long, not everything needs to be done right away and you can always change your mind. The list is there so you can see what items are important to you and to help you focus on one thing at a time. For some couples, the photographer may be the most essential supplier and for others, it may be the entertainment, however you envision your day is absolutely fine, just make sure you focus on what’s meaningful to you. Once you have your list, you can begin planning. Always start with your venue, as this will dictate the day and time that you’re getting married. Once you have that set in stone, you can begin researching and booking the rest of your suppliers. To help inspire you, we’ve put together an issue focusing on the latest trends, with advice from local experts, must-have bridal fashion and news from across the West Midlands. If you’re about to tie the knot or have hosted a shoot, you can submit it at melissa.cullen@kdeventsandpublishing.com or www.yourwestmidlands.wedding/get-involved-real-wedding Melissa x Melissa Cullen, Senior Editor Sarah and Don celebrated their love for one another in a romantic celebration at St. Bartholomew Church and The Orchard at Munsley. 31 73 97 Fall in love with these gorgeous dresses with striking silhouettes. www.chrisblackledgephotography.co.uk Ring-a-ding-ding WIN! 59Rustic meets boho was the inspiration for this styled shoot at High Grosvenor House.
