However, as Wales went into a national lockdown, we had to change the Wales booking to a lovely place in Shropshire. We had the most peaceful and relaxing few days, and it was just what we needed after a very busy period. Unfortunately, due to the second national lockdown, the remainder of the honeymoon had to be cancelled, but we’re hoping to re-book it very soon. Throughout the morning, I felt overwhelmed. I was so happy we had been able to move the whole wedding in just two and a half days. I was also so thrilled to be marrying Nick after all these years. Right up until I walked down the aisle, I felt like a nervous wreck, until I saw my wonderful groom and all my nerves drifted away. It was the best day that we could have hoped for, even pre-COVID-19, everything was absolutely perfect. Our nearest and dearest went above and beyond to help us turn the whole thing around so quickly. We were lucky to have such a wonderful venue and group of suppliers who love what they do and wanted to make our day extra special. We’d like to highlight the two very kind ladies from Birmingham Register Office who conducted our ceremony in such a kind and compassionate way and despite all the rules and restrictions made the ceremony feel warm, happy and memorable. 30
