Your West Midlands Wedding- October/November 2020 (Issue 70)

We chose a black and white classic table plan from Bunting & Willow Weddings. We’ve kept this, and it’s now proudly on display in our conservatory. In the marquee, we had 80 paper lanterns on display in various sizes, some of which lit up. Bunting & Willow Weddings kindly hung and arranged them for us. They looked fantastic on the day! The chairs were decorated with white sashes and green foliage. We also added petals and flowers in the room to tie our theme together. Rebecca Kate Flowers created our flowers and centrepieces. We opted for white and ivory blooms with dark foliage placed in small glass vases. Scrumptious by Hillaina made our beautiful cake. I don’t like icing, so we decided to have a creation covered in buttercream. We opted for chocolate, vanilla and lemon drizzle, and it was all gone within 20 minutes! Hillaina surprised us by making a small version of our Cavapoo, Colin, to sit on the bottom tier. We wanted somewhere with a marquee big enough for 100 guests. When we visited the Bordesley Park Wedding Venue, we fell in love with the Tudor barn and groom’s room. The bridal prep room is stunning with one-way curtains so we could peek at the guests without being seen. When we walked around towards the marquee, Liam instantly fell in love with the football goalposts and discovered they had one of his favourite beers on tap! Ben at the venue really looked after us on the day, he bought in prosecco for the girls and a bucket of beer for the boys and made sure we had drinks all day. 40
