Situated within 10 acres of parkland, the magnificent grounds were commissioned by Henry VIII in 1538. Over the centuries, the house and grounds have been rebuilt and remodelled by a string of wealthy tenants. Oatlands Park Hotel opened as a hotel in 1856, known then as The South Western Hotel, it played host to several world-famous guests, including writer Emile Zola, novelist Anthony Trollope and artist and poet Edward Lear. The current owners bought the property in 1986 and have lovingly restored and refurbished it, retaining the character of the listed buildings and grounds. Overlooking the Broadwater lake and with far-reaching views over the Surrey countryside, the venue offers plenty of gorgeous photo opportunities and the gardens are an ideal space to entertain wedding guests in the summer. Celebrate in style With spectacular views of the landscaped gardens and lake, the Mulberry Suite offers a beautiful setting for wedding celebrations. Licensed for up to 150 guests for the service, 160 for the wedding breakfast and 200 in the evening, the space is situated on the ground floor and boasts high ceilings, a neutral décor and an abundance of natural daylight. The recently refurbished York Suite is the hotel’s largest function space and offers exclusivity and the use of a private entrance and foyer. The room dividers offer flexibility and can be closed off into sections for small nuptials or opened up for large parties.
