Your Surrey Wedding- October/November 2020 (Issue 85)

60 ▲ “This is my favourite groom and groomsmen images, it was taken at Spitbank Fort at one of the vaults. I arrived nice and early to check out the venue, and as soon as I saw the card table, I knew I had to do something with it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to carry out the shot during the preparations, so I thought it wasn’t going to happen, but as luck would have it, I missed the scheduled boat back to the mainland and had another hour to wait. I grabbed the opportunity with both hands and persuaded the groom and his groomsmen to do one last shot. I’m so glad I did, and the groom absolutely loves this photo.” – Andy from Andy Holdsworth Photography. www.andyholdsworthphotography.com ▲ “I’m a big fan of capturing portraits of people when they’re not looking. I like to think it’s when people are most comfortable and not preoccupied with how they look. The groom, Ivan, came over to check everything was going well and as we finished talking somebody called him. He looked, and I quickly took his portrait. With a drink in his hand and a confident stance, I think he looks quite relaxed and happy with how his day is going.” – Colin from Colin D Miller Photography. Dashing groom www.cdmiller-photography.co.uk “I like to look around a room and see what features you can use to create a different perspective. Here, I used the window light to highlight the groom and the position of the mirror was perfectly placed to capture his reflection.” – Denise from Denise Winter Photography. ▲ www.denisewinterphotography.co.uk “Alina and Gento’s small ceremony was held in Wood Green followed by a small party in the Dalston area.” – Roman from Roman Hajduk Photography. ▼ www.paparazziforhire.co.uk ▲ “This image was taken at Merton Register Office, and I love that the groom is holding the bride’s flowers and the dog who was great fun and a big part of the wedding.” – Sheila from Sheila Constable Photography. www.sheilaconstable.co.uk
