Your Surrey Wedding- October/November 2020 (Issue 85)
We had beautiful fairylights wrapped around the pillars and ceiling of the ceremony space and a fairylight wall in the reception area. We went to an open day at Wotton House, and as we drove down the long tree-lined driveway and saw the stunning house, we started to get a warm, fuzzy feeling. While walking around the venue, we fell in love with it and knew it was the one. Our tables were named after places in Canada that we visited on our road trip. For our flowers, we spent time with Flowers by Elaine and gave her ideas of what blooms and foliage we loved. We asked the important women in our lives what their favourites were and incorporated them into the bouquets. We decided to have vegan food throughout the day. Wotton House created an incredible menu, and most people didn’t even realise that the canapés and meals were vegan. Scott and I decided to have a vegan cake and cupcakes from Pudding Fairy. Everything tasted delicious and was an absolute hit! 54
