Your Surrey Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 81)
We’d always talked about getting married in a stately home, and when we saw Botleys Mansion, we knew it was the perfect place for us. We had a great feeling from the moment we walked in and loved that the ceremony and reception would be in two separate rooms to help break up the day and make the most of the venue. Our big-day cake was from Marks & Spencer. We chose a four-tier design, made up of milk chocolate and white chocolate rings. We decided not to include many decorations as the venue was already so stunning that it spoke for itself. Dahlias are my favourite flower, so I knew I wanted to include some in our wedding. Our florist Lily & Myrtle provided a mixture of white hydrangeas, blush roses, foliage and of course dahlias. For our reception, we had a three-course meal followed by a light buffet in the evening. It was delicious and went down a treat with our friends and family. 42
