Your Surrey Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 80)
Kirsty’s dress was a French Connection design called Palermo . She accessorised it with L.K. Bennett suede shoes and her own jewellery. I opted for a blue suit from Marks and Spencer. I accessorised with a blue and green tartan waistcoat as a nod to Kirsty’’s Scottish heritage and a tartan handkerchief. As we met at a pub quiz, we decided to do a quiz during the wedding breakfast. All the answers were numbers and guests had to add them up and whoever was closest to the final number was the winner, that way nobody could cheat and look at the answers on their phones! It was a lovely day, full of laughter and emotion. We walked into the ceremony together, and as we waited to go in, we looked at each other, and it felt so surreal. In the evening, we hired Richard Senior from Stargazers Disco as a DJ. He got everyone up on the dancefloor and was happy to take requests. It was amazing having our friends and family with us. Lots of our loved ones are scattered around the world, so having everyone come together was a brilliant experience. REAL WEDDINGS 63
