LOOKING YOUR BEST 101  STRUT YOUR Local experts give their top tips on how to achieve showstopping looks I f you’re anything like me, then you’ve been dreaming about your nuptials since you were a little girl. I’ve always wanted a big princess gown, delicious chocolate cake and a stunning horse and carriage. I’m sure you have your own ideas of what will make your big day special and most likely have a moodboard full of inspirational products. Although wedding planning can be fun, it can also be a stressful experience, so it’s important you take some time to relax and focus on yourself – after all, you’re the bride! Jana says: I created a glamorous movie-star look inspired by Grace Kelly. ❤ The model, Silvia, is holding a bouquet made up of pastel hydrangeas mixed with baby breaths designed by the talented Flowers by Elaine (flowersbyelaine.co.uk ). ❤ I chose a gown from Anny Lin Bridal’s Splendid Muses collection called Ariel (annylinbridal.com/contents/details/id/72.html) . This dress is perfect for summer weddings and is easy to accessorise. Silvers, golds, pearls, crystals or diamonds would look fabulous. ❤ I styled Silva’s hair using gold hairpins with matching flowers from LinmiR Millinery (linmir.com) . ❤ For her make-up, I decided to go for a subtle look. I used grey/blue eyeshadow, black eyeliner and false individual eyelashes to make her eyes stand out. Although red lips are a must, I decided to go for a lighter shade to complement Silva’s blonde locks. ❤ Don’t forget shoes! Silvia wore white high heels but if you’re having a summer celebration, I’d opt for a beautiful pair of sandals. Movie-star glamour Make-up by Jana J urakova makeupbyjana.com Rock chic couture Felicity Westmacott felicitywestmacott.co.uk Felicity says: This mix and match wedding ensemble was created for plus-size model, Emily Gossip. ❤ The boned strapless bodice with hidden inner corset defined her waist and supported her bust. As a romantic contrast, the delicate tulle over-bodice had a symmetrical neckline and touches of lace. The duchess satin high- low shirt in shades of lilac and dove-grey swept the floor dramatically with a small train. ❤ We accessorised with funky gold sequin high-tops, washout lilac hair colour and an unusual leather and French headpiece by Melanie MacCormack. ❤ For the bridesmaids, we chose leather jackets and floor-length gowns. ❤ As a bespoke dressmaker I love creating designs that say something about each individual and trying new things. stuff Brunchfest Collective Brunchfest Collective
