This naturally light room with its original 18 th -century fireplace can seat up to 40 for a civil ceremony or wedding breakfast and up to 120 for an evening do. When tying the knot here, couples have the choice of one of the two stunning Bridal Suites for the night of the wedding, a certified toastmaster, use of ceremonial knife and sterling silver cake stand, red carpet arrival, menu tasting for the bride- and groom-to-be before the big day, complimentary bed and breakfast and evening meal stay at Horsley Towers for the first wedding anniversary. Coltsford Mill occupies a peaceful waterside setting in the valley of The River Eden. Its beautiful grounds extends to 12 acres and includes two lakes where you’ll often see swans, wildlife, tranquil pools and flowing cascades – a picture-perfect backdrop for big-day snaps. Ceremonies are held in the contemporary, oak-framed Watermill Barn for up to 150 guests, which overlooks the landscape grounds, lakes and water features. The Mill Room, also with stunning views, is ideal for up to 95 guests; the workings of the original mill are illuminated behind glass and make for an eye-catching focal point. Post-vows, brides and grooms can host their wedding breakfast and reception in the Watermill Barn for up to 150 and 200 loved ones respectively. For an al fresco option, the Terrace is the perfect place for pre-reception drinks overlooking the water features and lakes.
