66 SPRING SPRUNG HAS Terrace Gardens, Richmond, was the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous shoot W hen first viewing these images at YSYW HQ, we were eager to fast-forward through winter to spring; the photographs were bursting with colour, they made us yearn for brighter, warmer days and we swooned after the whimsical dresses – just gorgeous! Professional wedding and portrait photographer Kirsty Corbett adds, “This heavenly, bohemian-styled bridal shoot took place in Richmond. Inspired, not only by the team I worked with, but the beautiful location. Last summer I had photographed a wedding in Richmond and the couple originally wanted to take the couple portraits in Richmond Park. Unfortunately it was closed that day, so I suggested Terrace Gardens, which was not only around the corner, but simply stunning. “Terrace Gardens is a formal garden that overlooks the River Thames, famous for seasonal bedding, shrubberies, rockery and rose garden, all set amongst fine trees and sloping lawns – and the friendliest squirrels! I wanted the models to be completely emerged in this magical space and feel like they are in their own fairytale for a day – isn’t that what every bride wants to feel like on her big day?”
