Your Surrey Wedding - Feb/Mar 2019 (Issue 75)
My bouquet compised white stock, sweet avalanche roses, cream astilbe, blue veronica, ivory avalanche roses, pale peach lizianthus, white hydrangea, eucalyptus populous, large leaf variegated pittosporum. The cake was a three-tiered, half-naked cake of lemon sponge with lemon curd and lemon buttercream on two tiers, and vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream on the other one. Plus, we had double-chocolate cupcakes. I wore Kat by Essence Australia, with an added vintage- style sash for extra sparkle. It felt so light to wear too – I didn’t want to take it off! The dress was from Aurora Bride in Cheam, the ladies at the boutique were so helpful throughout the entire process. In my hair I had a vintage-style side headpiece, as I wanted to have my hair down I needed something that little bit special. This was from The Bridal Room in Reigate – who I cannot recommend enough – such lovely staff. My veil was my something borrowed from my bridesmaid Carly. Hair stylist Julia (Not Another Stylist) and make-up artist Abbie were amazing too! Both such talented and calming influences. The morning of the wedding can be a little overwhelming and both Julia and Abbie were so great, blending in with the bridesmaids and my family to ensure I was calm and perfectly ready in time. Andy wore a navy blue suit by Ted Baker, and his buttonhole had blue veronica in it to stand out from the other groomsmen who were in slightly darker navy blue suits. REAL WEDDINGS 59
