Your Surrey Wedding - Feb/Mar 2019 (Issue 75)
We both instantly fell in love with the church, known as the ‘Church in the Woods’. It was so perfect and then planned our day around that. We visited Denbies and knew that this would be the perfect setting for our reception – miles of vineyard, what more could we ask for? Our tableplan was a collection of different coloured wine bottles, named after places we were going to visit on our honeymoon in Hawaii. White and blue delphiniums with eucaplyptus were chosen for our centrepieces due to their simplicity and height, and displayed in a collection of antique silver tea light holders and candles. The flowers were white hydrangeas for the bridesmaids, complemented by a white hydrangea and gypsophila flower arch on the lynch gate at the church; the buttonholes had ivory avalanche roses and eucalyptus (the groom’s featured blue veronica). “We were so fortunate to have my cousin Vanessa design and create our wedding cake it was so stunning and tasted amazing! The cake topper was by Capola Designs.” The place settings were champagne and prosecco corks dipped in glitter with a calligraphy name card placed inside. 58
