As we had an English/ Spanish wedding everyone made the effort to include both languages in their speech which really made everyone feel part of the day. Alot of the Spanish guests kept shouting ‘guapo’ ‘guapa’ during the speeches, it was very funny. Being a performer I choreographed a first dance to A Million Dreams; that moment felt so magical. The room was electric and the support we received from our friends and family was wonderful. There was a lot of whooping and cheering which helped settle our nerves and we enjoyed every moment. I was extremely proud of Hugo, he’s not a dancer and he looked so relaxed and natural. I think he secretly ended up really enjoying it. TOP TIPS: •Start early so you’re not rushed off your feet at the end. •I regret not being on the dancefloor enough as lots of people wanted to talk or take pics. •Make sure you and your other half spend time together throughout the day especially if you have a lot of guests as you will lose each other, and the day goes by very quickly. •Just enjoy every moment. There were outdoor games and sparklers in the evening – which we all enjoyed. We had a live band which was a huge hit with the guests, people were filling the dancefloor all night. They played lots of crowd-pleasers and a variety of different eras to suit everyone – they were epic. The sound and vocals were phenomenal and the energy in the room was electric. “We felt elated and electric on the day!” 36
