We had The Bossard Quartet play during the ceremony and reception drinks. We were able to select songs from their repertoire and went for a mixture of classic love songs and pop. This was great for guests to hear tunes they recognised and made for some fun conversation starters! We lived close to our wedding venue so were able to visit quite a few times before the big day for open days, food tastings etc. This was helpful so that we could remember the layout of everything when we were planning! We loved both the indoor and outdoor spaces at Bury Court! We were keen on the idea of getting married outside but were also conscious that we needed to be happy with both options (luckily the weather was on our side!) We really liked the style of the barn and that the bar wasn’t too far from the dancefloor so that everyone could be in one room. We saw welcome signs on Pinterest and Sam’s stepdad was able to make this for us which made it even more special! It turned out great and we were really pleased this is what everyone saw first when they arrived. Sam’s suit was from Moss Bros and we liked it so much we chose this for the groomsmen too – although Sam’s was custom fitted, so he was able to choose some details like the lining, buttons and stitching to make it stand out a little. I went in the bridal shop armed with a long brief of what I wanted, and it ticked all the boxes! I went for a shorter veil so I could wear it for a bit longer without worrying about it getting in the way. I ended up keeping it on the whole night! 32
