Looking back, we can only describe it as the best day of our lives. We made sure to stay with one another all day, so we had the same memories. Matt’s uncle gave us the advice to, at one point, take a step back and take in the day. We did that at our wedding breakfast, we sat and looked at everyone seated around us, we had people travel from South Africa, Brussels, France, Netherlands, Israel and Ireland to celebrate with us. We had a powercut during the evening do. The music was playing and lights flashing when suddenly everything went dark. The music stopped and lights went out, however our friends kept the party going by singing Taylor Swift acapella, very loudly. We also had our dear friend who is a host of Brooklands Radio be our DJ, he surprised us with a game of Mr and Mrs! Barry kept the day running smoothly and kept the party going through the day with the music and games. My maid-of-honour Lucy, who sang during the singing of the register, also did a lovely speech and third song at the wedding breakfast. Our photographer Nigel Harvey, who not only took loads of amazing photos to document our day, but he also helped a lot with the organisation of the day and ensured people were in the right place at the right time. 46
