What are some of the biggest bridal make-up trends this year and how can I get the look? Charlotte says: Brides are always looking to achieve the natural glam look, one that offers medium coverage and looks flawless and not too heavy. My inspiration for this would be the runway looks on the Victoria’s Secret models. To get the look, use plenty of creamy products, moving away from heavy contouring with more focus on blusher and highlighter. Some brides still want soft contouring but not as extreme as the trend for this used to be. When it comes to your eyes, don’t apply heavy eyelashes - individual lashes look so pretty. Choose bright, bronze or pink shades of eyeshadow and just a touch of black eyeliner, nothing heavy. I still love brushed-up brows that look natural and aren’t overly defined and sharp. She’s a bridal make-up artist (who also offers make-up lessons) and a bridal spray tan specialist making brides look and feel radiant on their special day. How should I best prepare for my bridal spray tan? Sonja says: Think ahead and start your skin preparation a few weeks before your wedding so that it’s in top condition. Gently exfoliate every two to three days for a few weeks beforehand using an exfoliating mitt and make sure that you moisturise twice a day to ensure your skin is well hydrated. It’s essential to drink plenty of water in the lead-up to your wedding and any waxing, shaving, manicures and pedicures should all be carried out at least 24 hours before your tan is due to take place. Apply an SPF every day, even weeks after any sun exposure because if you get a spray tan, your skin can peel.
