Festival fun Lou and Sam tied the knot at Gildings Barns on 19th August, 2023 Images courtesy of Stacey Lou Photography Lou and Sam met while working together at a big gym venue, but it wasn’t until a year had passed that they actually spoke to each other. Once they did though, they soon discovered a common interest in music and pets, and before long set up their first pub date. The couple got engaged on their fifth anniversary, which was low key due to it falling during lockdown in 2020. “It wasn’t a surprise for me as we’re terrible at keeping anything a secret from each other,” Lou says. With a vision in mind of a festival-vibe, al fresco celebration Lou and Sam started looking for somewhere to suit that would be able to host the ceremony and reception and found Gildings Barns. “Our guests didn’t have to travel between venues, so we got to spend more time with them and found the day so relaxing,” Lou explains.
