Your Surrey Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 104)

Having a great party was a must for Precious and Sean on page 47. Winter weddings are really coming into their own; couples are embracing the autumnal hues, the cosy atmosphere you can create and the delish hearty food options on offer at this time of year! The best thing about a winter wedding for me, is that you know what you’re letting yourself in for when it comes to the weather. I tied the knot in March, and although I kept an eye on the weather apps, I couldn’t be disheartened when the heavens opened and it rained for most of the day. It did not change the day at all, we dashed outside with brollies for some images, and we celebrated the whole day in a gorgeous venue without a care what was happening in the world outside. We were in wedded bliss, whatever the weather, so don’t worry if you too have a wedding in the coming months – I hear rain on the wedding day is lucky too! Here’s what you have to look forward to this issue: we have some cosy winter venues on page 27 perfect for tying the knot at this time of year, and a feature on intimate weddings – be inspired by this latest trends on page 53. If you’re embarking on your wedding dress – or jumpsuit! – search, then check out our bridal boutiques feature on page 71 where local experts help you with this daunting task. Our real wedding couples this issue talk all-things wedding; from pages 35 to 47 there could be some ideas you want to pinch and apply to your own virtual moodboard.
