We gave him a list of songs that we loved and he played an eclectic mix of afrobeats, dancehall, old school R&B, pop, rock and ABBA which reflected us and our guests perfectly. Our order of service, place names, table names and table stationery all came together perfectly with the blush flower and greenery design. We named our tables after places that are important to us. The ceremony was magical for me. My mother gave me away and when it was our turn to walk she was overwhelmed, so we took a couple of seconds to hug and have a moment. We had a photobooth set up so that everyone would be able to take away a memento of the day and so that we could get some lovely photos for the guestbook. This was a huge hit and I’m pretty sure some people were in there most of the night! I have four middle names, so every time poor Oscar had to say them, everyone got the giggles because it took a whole minute to get through them. Once he forgot to say his own name as he was so focused on mine, so he had to repeat the whole thing again! Being able to spend our day surrounded by people who were genuinely thrilled for us and showered us with love was more than we could have imagined. It was amazing. When Oscar turned to look at me when I reached him, he had such a look of love in his eyes that we both got even more emotional. Then, almost like in a fairytale, even though it had rained the whole day so far, once we started to say our vows the sun came out and it was absolutely perfect. We made an activity booklet with a couple of games about us, that we placed on our tables to help be an icebreaker and get everyone get chatting to the people on their tables. 46
