We then had a sit-down meal including a burrata salad to start, roast beef or vegetable wellington for the main and brownies for dessert. We opted for a doughnut tower for our cake. There’s a Krispy Kreme factory based in New Malden, which made over 100 doughnuts for us. Music was very important to us on the day, and it helped to make the guests feel as included as possible. We bought inflatable guitars, which became more popular as the evening progressed. As well as the doughnuts, our guests enjoyed my grandma’s famous homemade shortbread! After postponing our nuptials so many times we were excited to finally implement our plans. The planning was stressful at times, but we had amazing help from our family and friends to make it a truly special day. We purchased our rings from Unique Wedding Rings Hatton Garden, following meeting them at Morden Hall Wedding Fair. They were perfect. Our best man Greg did an incredible speech. Matt’s a massive Ghostbusters fan and having a real Ghostbuster cameo at the end of his speech was a massive surprise that blew our minds and a memory we’ll never forget. Our venue had a gorgeous terrace and as it was a warm day our guests enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying each other’s company. With us having beer for our favours, we designed beer mats for our place names that followed the same design as our stationary. This was also a lovely memento for guests to take home. The Dog and Fox had wonderful outdoor floral displays that we were able to use. They looked stunning. 34
