THE BRIDE’S TOP TIPS Prioritise what’s most important to you and work out what you’re happy to let go of. Don’t act on impulse, think things through. Think about what you want rather than what other people have had, or what’s traditional. We didn’t have a cake or wedding favours and didn’t regret it. Don’t stress about where guests will park or stay... they’ll work it out! Don’t sweat the small stuff on the day. Make sure you and your partner have time together on the big day, as it goes so quickly. Fill your day with everything and everyone you love and you can’t go wrong. Splurging on a videographer as well as a photographer is so worth it for priceless clips of family and friends, along with unseen moments that you wouldn’t otherwise see 38 The wedding breakfast was incredible and it too offered both vegan and meat options. We also had a surprise course, which was amazing – it was lemon sorbet served on dry ice with a vodka shot in a pipette. It was a real moment when it came out, people gasped! I created playlists for when we had photos and canapés as well as for the wedding breakfast. We had a DJ for the evening and people loved that they could make requests and shout outs. We gave guests the opportunity to help compile the playlist via the RSVPs.
