Your Sussex Wedding - Page number 39 - October/November 2021 (Issue 93)
Dan wore a grey five-piece suit with a pink tie and socks. He included a hint of Vegas with his pack-of-cards cufflinks. The groomsmen were dressed to match. I love to bake so our wedding favours were shortbread cookies. There were four designs to symbolise something in our lives: a heart to represent our love, the Las Vegas welcome sign as a nod to Dan’s love of the city, yellow RNLI boots in recognition of where our love began, and a pink gin bottle for my favourite drink. The table plan was Las Vegas-themed as Dan loves it and has been 13 times so far! When restrictions came into force we had to reduce our guest list from 150 to 30, re-designing the seating arrangements from 10 circular tables to one long banquet table. The bridesmaids wore dusky pink floor-length dresses with pearl beading on the shoulders and sleeves. I wore Miriam by Rebecca Ingram, paired with my mother’s veil. I loved the floral detail in the body and how it flowed through to parts of the skirt. As soon as I tried it on it I felt like a princess! I’d always walked past the boutique in my grandparents’ village, so I couldn’t wait for it to be my turn to try dresses on. REAL WEDDING 39
