On their fourth anniversary as a couple, Simon proposed on one knee at Alexander House, surrounded by the petals from 300 roses, which still came as a huge surprise to Laura-May even though she’d been asking for a year! So, when it came time to look at venues the hotel where Laura-May had said “yes” seemed like the natural choice. It was a place they both loved since many a family event had been celebrated there. The date was set for May 2021, but when news of the pandemic hit in March 2020, the couple opted to bring the big day forward to 17 th December 2020 in favour of a more intimate celebration. “I felt incredibly excited and just wanted to get married faster,” Laura-May tells us.
