They soon discovered that they wanted the same things out of life: “We enjoy similar things, but both appreciate our independence,” Hannah explains. Romance blossomed from here and the couple later moved in together. One night, Hannah arrived home to a hallway full of petals and balloons leading her up the stairs to their bedroom where she found Nathan on one knee holding out an engagement ring with “marry me?” laid out in petals on the bed behind him. The date was 31 st March, 2019, and it’s one the pair will never forget as when they told their families the good news the next day, April Fool’s Day, no one believed them! The venue hunt was on and top of the checklist was somewhere with natural beauty and simple, chic elegance. Hannah explains, “Upwaltham Barns ticked all the boxes.
