Your Sussex Wedding - February / March 2021 (Issue 89)
Our first wedding was booked in Cypr us for the 3rd June 2020, which had to be cancelled when Thom as Cook ceased trading. We then rescheduled for 5 th May at Alexander House, which again had to be postponed due to Covi d. All of our suppliers were absolutely amazing. They all wen t above and beyond and changed their dates ensuring everythin g was taken care of. My beautiful boho dress had a h igh neck and sleeves with pink fl oral embellishments and hand-sewn sequins. It was exactly the sort of gown I wanted and I loved wearing it o n the day. My mum walking me down the aisle w as really special. I tried not to look at her once we’d set o ff since we were both holding back the tears. Our cerem ony was at 4pm and I walked down the aisle to Pachbe l in D. Reuben wore a blue suit with a pink sp otted tie to complement our wedding palette, and his groomsmen wore their own suits, also paired with pink s potted ties and buttonholes to match Reuben’s. I’d been to Alexander House before with my mum for a spa day and was really impressed with it. I took Reuben to see it and he fell in love too. I’m a huge foodie so we wanted to be able to offer our guests a delicious four-course dinner, and the hotel is known for serving five-star food. For the bridesmaids I wanted something to suit their figures and to make sure they felt comfortable, happy and confident. We went with the Bardot style in pink lace. They both looked beautiful. 42
