Your Sussex Wedding - February / March 2021 (Issue 89)
On the day we were both filled with pure happiness, joy and a feeling of completion. We were living every single second in the moment with all of our friends and family around us. It really was the best day of our lives. We used places that held special meaning to us for our table names. We then linked our guests to the table they were on. We wanted our place names to be fun, so Mike suggested using a comedy polaroid photo of each guest when they were young. Everyone loved this idea and we also had a polaroid camera for people to use and stick pictures into our guest book. My sister is a brilliant artist and sketched a couple of Winne-the- Pooh drawings complete with quotes. One was for the back of our invitations and the other for the back of our menus. My cousin produced a beautiful table plan, which we presented on an easel and decorated with eucalyptus. Mum and I made 100 shortbread biscuits in two shapes – one in the shape of musical notes as I’m a musician, and one in the shape of Spurs’ logo. We also wanted to showcase the talents of our family members, so my cousin, who is a graphic designer, created our wedding logo using our initials and our blue colour palette, which featured throughout our stationery. 36
