Your Sussex Wedding - August/September 2020 (Issue 86)

The venue was adorned with white drapes. We also had a sweet cart, balloon wall, doughnut wall, photo booth, LOVE letters, a flip flop box and a toiletry box for the ladies. I chose pastel-hued multiway dresses for my bridesmaids. They were all worn differently, which looked perfectly imperfect. We chose bath salts as wedding favours to give everyone a chance to relax after a busy weekend – most of our guests had to travel and stay overnight. To Sean’s dismay, our cake was made of cheese. We decorated it with edible flowers to complement the natural theme, and I’d hoped that guests would eat it with crackers in the evening, but alas, we ended up with all of it! Happy me, but sad Sean! The table names were postcards of Sean and I, each depicting a different place we’d visited together. We printed them on A4 card with a quiz inside, allowing people to break the ice by discussing the answers. We decided against a table plan, and therefore place names, as we wanted our guests to have a relaxed time. This is also why we opted for buffet-style dining, which was absolutely fantastic. We also had other themed decorations, such as Alice in Wonderland sign posting, balloon arch and pom pom arch. REAL WEDDINGS 51
